(Press release) NEW YORK – Earlier last week on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, media, pet retailers, groomers, veterinarians, social media and pet influencers joined together to learn about the latest and greatest pet products available on the market at a one-of-a-kind boutique B2B tradeshow in New York City.

Each year, the NYC Re-tails & Sales Pet Expo attendance list has grown significantly as press and pet celebrities as well as retailers traveling from distances including Boston, Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, New York City, Pennsylvania and Long Island, are eager to see and shop for products for their pet stores.

Nancy Hassel, Founder and President of American Pet Professionals said, “We are so excited about our show last week, our best show yet! Each year it gets better and better and as we prepare for our 7th year hosting this unique B2B tradeshow, we are on a mission to once again bring on board innovative brands that are dedicated to creating high-quality and safe products for pets and pet parents.”

This year’s event featured vendors showcasing a large array of products such as pet tech gadgets, modern crates and carriers, nutritious treats and food, beautiful jewelry, stylish pet apparel, durable toys, calming products and much more.

Vendors at the 6th annual expo, who helped make the event such a success were:  Agon Pet & CozyFur, Allegro Paws, Exam Room Treats, BooDog Lifestyles, Charlie Bear Dog Treats, Ethical Products Inc., Longevity – Dr. B’s Raw Pet Food, Diggs Pet, Headlight Harness, K-9 Kit, Pawies, Paws Gourmet Bakery, SteelDog USA, PetPlate, GoGoStik.com, SnugPups, Verde Canino and 13-One.

In addition, Nancy and Dana were honored to have Pet Age Magazine as their Presenting Media Sponsor. Pet Age Magazine has been a supporter and sponsor since the first expo back in 2014 and they look forward to working with them again next year.

Similar to previous years, last week’s event consisted of participants networking and establishing connections in a fun, laid-back but business focused atmosphere.  Both vendors and attendees alike had the opportunity to share their passion for the pet industry during this one-day pet product extravaganza!

“What a great day at the NYC Re-Tails and Sales Pet Expo.  Thank you to Dana and Nancy, and Pet Age Magazine for a great event.  We met so many amazing people and some of the cutest dogs,” said Marilyn Pianelli of Headlight Harness.

In comparison with some of the larger annual pet tradeshow, a boutique B2B tradeshow, like the NYC Re-tails & Sales Pet Expo, has gained much popularity due to the many benefits of exhibiting and/or attending a show that’s on a smaller scale. Some of these benefits include, the ability to connect with almost everyone who attends and the opportunity to display products in a less overwhelming atmosphere.

“As the pet industry continues to boom, we’re confident the NYC Re-Tails & Sales Pet Expo will too. We have received such positive feedback from our participants over the years, and we can’t wait to see what next year’s event has in store for us. Stay tuned for more information!” expresses Dana Humphrey, Founder and President of Whitegate PR.

Dr. Karen Walwyn from Allegro Paws states, “I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to showcase my classical music for pets at the 6th Annual NYC Retails and Sales B2B Pet Expo. Upon attending, I was in awe of the quality and expertise unlike any other expo that I had experienced. As well, the guests that attended were just perfect for my product. I was kept busy introducing my music to very enthusiastic guests all afternoon. I also appreciated every effort made to give attention to my product during the expo. I made many significant connections and am looking forward to following through with those connections in the next coming days. In fact, before getting my car packed after the completion of the expo, I had been contacted by two guests with ideas for collaboration with my albums! My attendance of the 6th Annual NYC Retails and Sales B2B Pet Expo was the best choice I have made in years! I am very grateful for having been a part of this amazing event!”

“Brian and I want to thank you for a great day yesterday! We had a lot of fun, and made some very promising connections.  Such fun dressing the adorable crew of pups there as well,” stated Gail Thomas of Snugpups.

Today, hosts Nancy Hassel of American Pet Professionals and Dana Humphrey of Whitegate PR, are excited to announce the date for the 7th Annual NYC Re-tails & Sales Pet Expo: Tuesday, April 30th, 2019. NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
