(PRESS RELEASE) CLEARWATER, FL – Sure Petcare, the pet technology specialist, will be showcasing its new, connected product range at the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) Annual Conference held at the Charlotte Convention Center from September 27 through 30, 2018.

2018 marks the 10th Anniversary of Sure Petcare and the company will be offering an exclusive first-view of its new app-connected range of products, which have been designed to increase the bond between pets and their owners.  The new products, launching in 2018 and 2019, include:

  • SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Connect – uses integrated scales to precisely weigh food and accurately monitor a pet’s feeding behavior. Visitors will be able to preview before the launch in early 2019.
  • SureFlap Microchip Cat Door Connect – enables owners to set individual and remotely changeable entry and exit permissions for each pet. Launching September 2018.
  • Animo – a unique dog behavior monitor which tracks a pet’s health and wellbeing throughout their lifetime. Launching October 2018.

All products will connect to a Sure Petcare app, which supports proactive pet care by providing owners with data and insight into their pet’s day-to-day activities and routines.  This data empowers owners to identify and address the changing needs of their pet throughout their lifetime.

Andy Bank, Commercial Director at Sure Petcare said: “We are delighted to be showcasing our new suite of connected products in our 10th Anniversary year at the AAFP conference.

“This is the perfect opportunity for us to introduce the first products in our extended connected ecosystem to veterinarians, as the ecosystem places pet wellbeing and insight at the center of everything that we do.  We started our connected offering with the introduction of the world’s first app-controlled pet door, the SureFlap Microchip Pet Door Connect, which helps owners to stay connected to their pet, despite today’s busy lives. Our new suite of products will further enhance the pet-owner bond, by providing owners precise data on their pets’ activity, nutrition and behavior at their fingertips.”

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
