(PRESS RELEASE) SYKESVILLE, MD — Pet Palette Distribution, a Maryland-based national distributor of premium pet products, has recently announced that it will be the exclusive U.S. distributor of the new Dog Star Cute and Cuddly Collection to the independent pet channel. Dog Star is a new brand under the Barker’s Bowtique umbrella.

“We are excited to team up with Pet Palette Distribution and IndiePet in launching this line at Global Pet Expo in a couple of weeks,” said Mike Bennett, Barker’s Bowtique director of sales. “Congruent with our dedication to supporting the independent pet channel, this line will only be available to indie retailers and will not have big box store placement.”

Dog Star’s Cute and Cuddly Collection will be making its debut at the Global Pet Expo with three raffle giveaway drawings, one taking place each day of the tradeshow. Retailers may enter the drawing at three different booths: Pet Palette Distribution (Booth 2111), Barker’s Bowtique (5812), and IndiePet (5458). The three drawing winners will be shipped two full sets of the entire line, which has a retail value of $371.76 and includes two sizes of six different plush animals.

“This new line from Dog Star follows suit with what we’ve come to know as your classic children’s plush toy silhouettes, made especially for the fur-kids with multiple squeakers and crinkle paper,” said Ron Metzger, Pet Palette Distribution CEO. “Global Pet Expo will be a great opportunity for retailers to stop by our booth and see them in person, as well as enter for their chance to win two full sets of these great new toys.”

Pet Palette Distribution is an independent retailer-focused wholesale distributor, offering low minimums, fast nationwide shipping, and top-notch customer care to the contiguous United States.

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
