American Pet Products Association Names New Program Director

(Press Release) GREENWICH, CT – American Pet Products Association Executive Vice President and COO Andrew Darmohraj announced that Nicole Mitchell has been hired as program director, member relations and business development.

In her new role at APPA, Mitchell will identify new sources and cultivate strategies to recruit prospective members and assist with program development, implementation and new marketing campaigns to encourage member retention. Mitchell will also assist with managing show organizer relationships and facilitating growth in the international pavilions at Global Pet Expo.

Mitchell comes to APPA with 12 years of experience, having previously worked at Zotos international Inc. as the senior project manager, private label. There, she managed a product development team and developed product positioning strategies and line extensions for clients.

“Nicole has more than a decade of client service experience in a manufacturing and product specialty organization, making her an excellent candidate for this position,” said Darmohraj. “The APPA Board and staff look forward to seeing Nicole’s influence on this position and welcome her to the team.”

Mitchell has a B.A. in psychology from the University of Connecticut, Cum Laude. Current and past professional organizations include: American Production and Inventory control Society (APICS), Project Management Institute (PMI), American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and International Association of Exhibition and Events (IAEE).
