Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference Is Now Underway

The Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference kicked off Thursday amid the coronavirus epidemic.

The World Pet Association, which organizes the event, stated in a press release that it “understands concerns about COVID-19 Coronavirus and will be diligent in following protocols provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).”

The event runs through March 15.

MONROVIA, CA – Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference kicks off this weekend, running March 12-15, 2020 at the Georgia International Convention Center. Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference is the premier gathering place for grooming and retail professionals in the pet products and service industry.

The four-day, inclusive show will feature more than 100 product exhibitors, 63 educational seminars and panels, hands on workshops, and CPR special seminars. Education is also presented as independent certification courses and half-day intensive classes taught by The American Kennel Club, Pet Tech CPR, Ives St. San Bernard and others. Additional topics within niche categories include business management, skin and coat health, safety, boarding, pet daycare, training, and retail practices. These sessions are cultivated for every pet professional including boarding, daycare and training professionals.

Throughout the weekend, there will be dog and cat grooming demonstrations showcasing new styles, techniques and contests offering more than $20,000 in cash and prizes, plus a variety of business development and marketing sessions.

The Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference is part of the legendary “Tour of Champions” which is an International Tour of World-Class Grooming Competitions supported and recognized by member shows. This year’s Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference winner will have the option of competing at any number of global competitions from Master/Groom (in Canada), Groomania (taking place in Belgium) or the hotly contested Artero Slam (located in Spain).

“Whether you’re in grooming or retail, we have secured leaders who are making an impact across the $70 billion pet and pet service industry,” said Khris Berry, Director of Grooming for the World Pet Association, producer of the Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference. “Coupled with exciting demonstrations and contests including the Extreme Duo Styling Contest, Abstract Dog & Cat Design Challenge, and the Wahl Clipper Classic, the Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference is the most sought-after grooming industry event in the country.

New this year is the “Social Media Zone.” Attendees are encouraged to post photos and share status updates all across their personal social media channels. A photo contest for the best user-submission will be taking place during the event. Information for submissions will be released on March 11 on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. The top entry will receive $500. Winner will be announced by March 30th and will be notified via email.

Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference is an opportunity to reach target customers by introducing new brands and maintaining existing relationships. “Hundreds of groomers are ready to shop and discover new products to build their business,” said Berry. “Specialty shampoos, doggie facials, apparel, grooming accessories, and finishing touches such as bows and bandanas will be showcased.”

Conference attendees will be invited to view the “Best All Around Pet Stylist in Show Awards” celebrating honorable mentions, winners, and standouts from the competitions. More than $20,000 in prizes and products will be awarded to winners.
