Suzette Watkins

Suzette Watkins is the owner of Riverside Resort for Dogs in Fort Worth, TX, a trusted pet services and boarding business she founded in 2005. With a deep commitment to animal welfare, Watkins spent years engaged in rescue work and extensive research into shelter intake data through the Freedom of Information Act, analyzing trends in breed demographics, geographic origins and euthanasia rates. Her advocacy expanded to exposing animal cruelty issues across Texas, including puppy mill operations. Though she has stepped back from the emotionally demanding aspects of advocacy, Watkins continues to champion animal well-being through her business while expanding into the short-term rental industry in Colorado. She holds a B.S. in Medical Technology from the University of North Texas and an A.A.S. in Management from Lamar University.
