(PRESS RELEASE) GRAND RAPIDS, MI – BISSELL, a leader in cleaning solutions and floor care that is committed to helping animals in shelters and rescues through BISSELL Pet Foundation, recently completed their Wash’n Wag’n Road Show down to the legendary South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference and Festivals in Austin, Texas. As part of the six-city XCountry Cleaning & Caring Tour, BISSELL visited shelters, dog parks and local hot spots to treat as many pups as possible to a bath and grooming session with the new BARKBATH QT QuietTone, the quieter, faster, easier, and less messy way to bathe dogs.

The tour, which took place from March 6 – 12, began in Grand Rapids, made stops in Chicago, Memphis, Little Rock and Dallas, before ending with three days of events in Austin, Texas. Over the course of the tour, the BISSELL team:

  • Washed nearly 100 pups at dog parks and rescues along the way
  • Sponsored adoption fees for shelter and rescue dogs with the help of BISSELL Pet Foundation and partners Our Full Attention and Taproot
  • Donated over 40 BARKBATH units to shelters in support of future adoptions and fundraising activites

“Our goal for this trip was to assist shelter and rescue dogs in finding their forever homes as well as demonstrate the new BARKBATHTMQT. We’re proud to announce that we, in conjunction with BISSELL Pet Foundation, were able to help dogs throughout the country find their forever homes,” says Tony Huver, Associate Brand Manager for BISSELL Business Ventures, LLC. “In addition to all the support we received from people we met along the way, we’re grateful to our shelter partners, Harbor Humane Society, PAWS Chicago, The Humane Society of Pulaski County, Austin Pets Alive!, Texas Husky Rescue, Wee Rescue and Texas Great Pyrenees Rescue.”

To make bath time more enjoyable for people and pets, BISSELL is launching the BARKBATH QT, a noticeably quieter version of the original BARKBATH. Designed with a quieter motor and wire-reinforced hose to help dampen the sound and eliminate high-frequency tones, this all-in-one system can be used to bathe dogs without muss or fuss in any room, at any time. NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
