(PRESS RELEASE) Caitec announced the launch of the new HERO Bonetics scientifically superior dog chews. The company defines Bonetics as, “The scientific study of the material makeup and design of bones used by dogs for chewing for the purpose of creating safer options.”

Traditional nylon chews are too hard and can cause broken teeth. They can also splinter and be swallowed causing digestive issues. HERO Bonetics Chews uses a proprietary wood and nylon blend to create a chew that is 46% softer than other nylon chews (Source: Independent Lab Tests). HERO Bonetics are as durable as regular nylon chews so they last just as long. Caitec will support the HERO Bonetics line with a multi-media advertising campaign including TV starting April 1st. Retailer ad tagging opportunities are available based on sales commitments (email info@caitec.com for more information on how you can participate).

“We started our HERO Bonetics initiative over two years ago by testing hundreds of chew concepts and formulas,” says Terry Gao, CEO of Caitec. “With HERO Bonetics we finally reached our goal of a safer and durable chew alternative that dogs love.”

“HERO Bonetics are the perfect size and weight, they also have just the right amount of “flex” – they clean dogs’ teeth without damaging them,” says Stephanie Malmquist, DVM and founder,
What a Relief Veterinary Services and Vet Pet Box.

HERO Bonetics are flavor-infused keeping dogs coming back for more. The line includes 5 variations, 4 sizes, and 6 flavors plus a 3 pack for a total of and 19 SKUs. MSRPs range from $3.99 (small) to $13.99 (XL).

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
