Caru Pet Food Teams up with the Pet Firm

Pet Firm will have national sales responsibility for all Caru foods and treats.

(PRESS RELEASE) Commencing in November, Caru Pet Food will be partnering with The Pet Firm, a pet specialty sales brokerage organization. The Pet Firm will have national sales responsibility for all Caru foods and treats including both the Caru Classics and Daily Dish brands. The immediate objective of this new partnership is to support current distributors by expanding retail distribution and sales of both current Caru product offerings as well as new products planned for early 2020.

Founded in 2002, the Pet Firm is an integrated sales, marketing and merchandising solutions provider with a history of success in the pet specialty industry.

“We’ve been very impressed with The Pet Firm’s strong endorsement and eagerness to partner with Caru Pet Food,” says Adrian Pettyan, co-founder and CEO of Caru Pet Food. “As we approach the new year, we’re grateful to our new team members and the work they will do to promote our products. 2020 is shaping up to be an exciting year for us, and we’re thrilled to start it with this new partnership.”

Caru Pet Food manufactures stews, bone broths and treats for dogs and cats. The Classics line for dogs and cats feature specially formulated, human-grade stews for the health of the pet that “taste just like homemade.” Its Daily Dish line of stews for dogs is a value option for pet parents who want human-grade quality and exceptional nutrition but desire a lower price. Plus, with the addition of its bone broths and treats, All of Caru’s stews and bone broths are also packaged in eco-friendly Tetra Pak cartons to preserve freshness and makes serving them even easier.

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
