That’s in addition to 1K+ current employees.

Online pet retailer Chewy Inc. plans to hire 400 workers in Florida over the next few months, the Sun Sentinel reports.

They’ll work at a customer service center in Hollywood. The new center currently employs 1,000 people.

The 100,000-square-foot center is located in a former mall. It operates 24 hours a day, according to the Sun Sentinel.

The customer service roles are “a great way to get your foot in the door at a company that wants to promote from within,” Kelli Durkin, vice president of customer service for Chewy’s, is quoted saying.

Chewy was acquired last year by PetSmart Inc. for an undisclosed sum. It’s seen rapid growth since it was founded by Ryan Cohen and Michael Day in 2011.
