(PRESS RELEASE) ANN ARBOR, MI –  DaySmart Software announced it acquired PupKeep, a pet services cloud software company. The acquisition will allow DaySmart to expand its pet service offerings to incorporate daycare, boarding, kenneling and training into its existing grooming salon and mobile pet grooming software.

Since founding the company in 2017, PupKeep’s Kraig Jacobson and Brandon Ray have created a platform that enables pet boarding and daycare owners to more effectively and efficiently grow their businesses. Following a successful year of growth for DaySmart’s 123Pet software, marked by a 30 percent increase in the user base, the team recognized the opportunity to expand its offerings to deliver the most comprehensive pet services platform. With this acquisition, DaySmart will increase its appeal to the growing pet services industry by combining the PupKeep products into the 123Pet software offerings.

“We are passionate about providing a platform to pet services professionals that not only makes their lives easier, but allows them to deliver superior customer service to their clients,” said Jacobson. “We’re excited about the synergies between DaySmart’s 123Pet Software and PupKeep and we know this a great opportunity to take PupKeep to the next level, expand our software’s capabilities and reach an even broader audience of pet groomers, daycare facilities, kennels and pet professionals. We are extremely excited for what the future holds for our customers and our employees.”

“Kraig and Brandon have created an excellent platform and support system for the kenneling and pet daycare industries, and we’re thrilled to be adding them, their expert team and their technology to our business,” said Jeff Dickerson, CEO of DaySmart. “Their approach to the business problems faced by these professionals is born out of first-hand kenneling experience and has been continually informed by their customers. That level of industry-specific expertise and dedicated customer attention is what DaySmart prides itself on, and we look forward to seeing what they’re able to accomplish as members of our team.”

Jacobson, Ray and the rest of the PupKeep team have joined DaySmart as full-time employees. Their new office opens this month in Raleigh, North Carolina and several new hires are planned for the first quarter. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Bow Wow Dog Houses Offer Chew-Free Entrances

It has teamed with The Pro Design Group.

(PRESS RELEASE) Los Angeles-based Bow Wow Dog Houses, a leader in eco-friendly dog house manufacturing, has teamed with Southern California-based company, The Pro Design Group. The companies have announced an alternative choice to the metal flashing typically selected as an option for door openings on Bow Wow Dog Houses’ homes.

The new material used for the doghouse entrance is an extruded ABS molding that will cap the framing trim around the door. ABS is an opaque thermoplastic and amorphous polymer. The ABS molding was designed in a joint creative project with The Pro Design Group’s Jake La Dow and the Bow Wow Dog House team. In working together, they created a product that provides a barrier in the door opening frame that is both durable and matches well with the aesthetic values for which Bow Wow Dog Houses is known.

“PDG has established a stellar reputation as a business-to-business leader of commercial manufacturing for its fabrication of thermoformed goods.” said Larry Hobbs, president and CEO of Bow Wow Dog Houses. “Since the front door entrance of a dog house is a common area for dogs to chew — especially puppies — we were motivated to come up with an alternative to metal flashing. We couldn’t be happier with the outstanding results of this collaborative effort.”

“We were delighted to partner with Bow Wow Dog Houses on a project that has such a positive impact for dog owners,” said La Dow, sales manager of The Pro Design Group. “We have wanted to work with the pet industry for a long time, but wanted to find the right partner, ideally Los Angeles-based. Delivering state-of-the-art solutions is what PDG is all about, so teaming-up with Bow Wow to meet a longtime need for pet owners was particularly rewarding for us.”

All Bow Wow Dog Houses can be retrofitted with the new door flashing material and can be ordered through their web site at bowwowdoghouses.com.

(PRESS RELEASE) Many cat owners know that keeping your feline happy and healthy includes a fun play life; and nobody understands this better than award winning designer, Justice Le, creator and founder of DôyenWorld.

Le fosters several cats so she knows a lot about their uncanny behaviors.

“Not all cats like catnip. Not all cats like treats. Not all cats like the same toys. But what they do love are boxes,” Le explained. “The cats love boxes, but I don’t want to see ugly brown boxes in my house. It made my place looks like I’m moving in or moving out. So I want to design a box that is aesthetically pleasing to compliment the home while providing a safe haven for them to feel calm and content in unfamiliar space.”

DôyenCat FunBox does just that; it provides a comfort zone for cat and helps to reduce and alleviate stress, all while keeping them mentally and physically happy and active — burning off that kitty energy. This is especially important for cat owners who work and are away from home for long periods of time. With the Dôyen Cat FunBox, cat owners can rest assured that their cat is having safe, healthy fun while they are away, and meme creators and cat photographers will love the stand-in cardboard cutout to elevate to the next level of Instagram fames.

It’s wonderful to see DôyenWorld provided a modern twist on traditional cat scratchers by combining the iconic Dôyen Cat shape with décor inspired designs while remaining true to their brand. It is made from pet safe, non-toxic, natural material with an attractive design and sturdy structure that is perfect for a cat’s everyday needs, including scratching and catnapping. FunBox is shipped flat and easy to assemble into a 14-inch cube box. Comes equipped with a long-lasting scratcher board and is available in four themes: Sushi Chef, Ocean Life, Marble, and Wood. Each one offering its own unique playtime fun for cats.
