Tesla has introduced “dog mode,” which allows the driver to “set a cabin temperature to keep your dog comfortable while letting passersby know they don’t need to worry.”
Elon Musk, the company’s CEO, hinted in November that such a feature was on the way. The company recently revealed details on Twitter, posting a video with full details.
People magazine wrote, “While the owner is away, the car stays climate controlled and displays a message on the vehicle’s large center screen letting passersby know the temperature inside and that the owner will be back soon.”
Musk noted on Twitter, “This is in addition to existing Cabin Overheat Protection, which come on automatically at high temps to ensure any babies or pets in the car are safe.”
