(PRESS RELEASE) BOULDER, CO — The Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC), in partnership with Astro Loyalty, are launching the first-of-its-kind Earth Week shopping event designed to make sustainable choices easier for pet parents.
From April 20-26, sustainable brands that are PSC Accredited will share special offers through Astro’s platform. Independent pet retailers can choose to activate those offers in their stores.
The idea is simple: when consumers support responsible brands and shop local, they help build a healthier future for pets, people, and the planet.
This initiative reflects PSC’s core belief that industry-wide progress happens through collaboration. The campaign was developed with input from PSC members, with Portland Pet Food Company (A PSC Accredited member), helping to bring the program to life.
How it works:
- PSC Accredited Brands publish Earth Week Offers
- Independent retailers activate them in-store
- Pet parents save on products that are better for the planet
PSC offers the only accreditation in the pet industry that measures and verifies sustainable business operations. Companies go through a third-party assessment of their environmental and social practices. To qualify, they must:

- Meet a minimum performance score
- Provide accurate documentation
- Show ongoing improvement year over year
