(PRESS RELEASE) Earthbath has announced the release of new Oatmeal and Aloe Grooming Wipes, specially formulated for dogs with itchy, dry skin. Using the unique properties of colloidal oatmeal and aloe vera, these wipes are designed to safely clean and soothe dogs’ coat and skin between baths. They are a natural extension of the company’s popular line of Oatmeal and Aloe Shampoos and Conditioners.

“These wipes are a convenient way to clean away dirt and dander while helping to soothe itchy, dry skin, which is one of the most common issues we hear about from pet parents,” says Paul Armstrong, president of earthbath. “As an added bonus the botanical fragrances of vanilla and almond help to deodorize and keep dogs smelling great between baths.”

Earthbath Oatmeal and Aloe Grooming Wipes are made with natural ingredients that include aloe vera, Hawaiian awapuhi extract, ginseng extract, glycerin, vitamin E and colloidal oatmeal to help promote the healing and re-moisturizing of dry, itchy skin. They’re prepared with the finest ingredients and offered in a variety of fun and delicious flavors to appeal to even the pickiest of pups. In response to the overwhelming popularity of Charlee Bear Original Crunch and Grain Free Crunch, the company recently introduced two additional lines of natural dog treats — Grain Free Meaty Bites, the first raw, freeze dried meat treats infused with real fruits and vegetables you can see, and Bearnola Bites, crunchy granola clusters bursting with aroma and taste thanks to wholesome ingredients like cranberries, peanut butter, honey and oats.

Hound & Gatos offers a full line of natural, animal protein-powered recipes to meet every pet’s dietary needs. In addition to a complete wet dog and cat line, the brand recently introduced a new line of dry food for both dogs and cats. Prepared without peas, lentils, chickpeas, or white potatoes, the meat-first, limited ingredient food features a medley of superfoods, like blueberries, cranberries, broccoli and dandelion greens. Three grain free varieties for cats and three grain free varieties for dogs can be found on shelves. Additionally, two options made with the finest ancient grains, such as spelt, quinoa and oats, are available for dogs.

To become a Hound & Gatos and Charlee Bear retailer, dealers located in North Carolina are invited to contact their Nature’s Rules representative at (336) 427-2526 or email info@naturesrules.com.

“Pets are living longer, which is not only driving rising veterinary costs, it is also increasing the demand for effective, nutritional supplementation,” said Chris Miller, president, Boss Pet / PetEdge. “Pet owners not only want to proactively promote health and wellness at every stage of their pets’ lives, they also want to treat specific conditions and provide greater comfort and mobility for aging pets. Total Pet Health addresses all of those needs with a complete line of natural, effective, life-enhancing of solutions.”

Total Pet Health supplements have been developed by veterinarians using only naturally sourced ingredients. Each formulation is scientifically balanced for optimal effectiveness and every weight-based dose is easily delivered in the form of a flavorful soft chew. “The fact that pets enjoy the flavor and texture of the soft chews promotes a positive dosing experience for pets and pet owners,” said John McGlynn VP marketing, PetEdge, “With Total Pet Health supplements, there is no need to deal with, or try to camouflage, hard tablets, messy powders and odorous oils. Pets happily eat the soft chews and receive the full benefit of perfectly balanced nutrition. Pet owners get the highest value for their money and healthier, happier pets.”

The complete line of Total Pet Health supplements includes:

  • Joint Support — the most commonly purchased, condition-specific pet supplement — is available in regular and PLUS strength for dogs and a formula for cats — contains highly-effective, balanced ingredients such as glucosamine HCL, MSM, chondroitin sulfate and vitamin C to ease stiffness and pain and support synovial fluid, cartilage and connective tissues. The supplement is available in a protein-free formula with hyaluronic acid for dogs of all ages and breeds — which is especially ideal for protein sensitive dogs. The Joint Support PLUS formula is designed for competitive dogs, working breeds and senior dogs with mobility issues. “Our Total Pet Health supplements contain a higher concentration of the essential active ingredients plus the highly-effective Perna Canaliculus — a New Zealand green-lipped mussel and natural whole food source of joint support nutrients, amino acids and omega fatty acids,” Chris Miller explained, “Unlike the perna extract used in other hip and join products, which lack important fatty acids and other bioactive components, Total Pet Health uses the entire organism as a whole food source for maximum benefit.” The PLUS formula also contains manganese (Mn proteinate), an important trace mineral. Joint Support for cats contains the same highly effective ingredients as the PLUS formula for dogs in balanced dosing for cats.
  • Digestive Support supplements have recently joined Joint Support as the most commonly purchased condition-specific supplement type among dog owners with expected continued growth. Total Pet Health uses a specialized formula of beneficial pre-and probiotics to support a healthy digestive tract and immune system, promote healthy gut flora, digestive health and regularity and increase healthy enzyme levels to aid in nutrient absorption and utilization. The formulations guarantee 100 million CFU/grams of Bacilis coagulans and 200 mg of FOS — a prebiotic to feed the healthy microflora in the GI tract. These shelf-stable supplements do not require refrigeration and are available in dog and cat formulas.
  • Stress and Behavior Support is an exclusive, non-sedating formula which calms pets without affecting the pet’s personality or energy level. Specifically developed for pets that are exposed to environmental stressors, or pets with a nervous disposition, it helps reduce anxiety caused by separation, boarding, fireworks, thunderstorms, moving, traveling, crowds and trips to the vet or groomer. Formulas for cats or dogs contain thiamine (vitamin B1), L-tryptophan, lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) powder and green tea (Camellia sinensis) extract (yielding L-theanine). It can be used to address specific environmental stressors or as a daily supplement. Dosing can be doubled if needed.
  • Skin and Coat Support for dogs promotes healthy skin, shiny coat and normal shedding. The formula helps to calm dry, itchy, flaky skin and soothe irritation and inflammation caused by allergies and seborrheic dermatitis. It is also ideal for enhancing the coats of competitive and show dogs. The chews contain omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids, flaxseed oil, safflower oil, salmon oil, vitamin E, crude protein, crude fat and crude fiber.
  • Daily Multivitamin for dogs provides balanced, full-spectrum multivitamin and mineral supplementation plus amino acids, essential fatty acids, fish oil omegas and B complex vitamins. It contains antioxidants to fight free radical damage and support the immune system as well as EPA and DHA to promote healthy skin, coat and brain function. This protein-free formula is also ideal for pets with protein sensitivities.

Sure Petcare Showcases SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Connect at Feline Practitioners Conference

Connected feeder helps owners monitor pet food consumption and feeding patterns.

(PRESS RELEASE) Sure Petcare has announced that it will be showcasing the newest addition to its connected product range, the SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Connect, at the 2019 American Association of Feline Practitioners Conference, held in San Francisco from Oct. 31-Nov. 3. The conference will focus on complex disease management, particularly exploring feline comorbidities. The SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Connect, which will be on display at booth 24, can detect small changes in cat feeding habits, such as loss of appetite, which can be an indicator of feline health.

The SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Connect records the time and weight of food consumed by a pet each time they eat from the feeder, reporting it directly to the SURE PETCARE app. Over time, this enables pet owners to build a comprehensive understanding of their pet’s unique feeding patterns, making it easier for them to spot changes in their pet’s health and well-being earlier than they may otherwise have been able to do so.

The SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Connect also enables owners to personalize their pet’s feeding regime to suit their pet’s unique needs, whether that is to help address a specific health concern, such as obesity, or to establish a consistent and appropriate feeding routine which can benefit all pets. Using the SURE PETCARE app, pet owners can specify the weight of a food serving for their pet. Once completed, every time they add food to the bowl, the integrated scales will weigh the food and LEDs on the front of the feeder will indicate when the correct portion weight has been reached.

Once connected to the SURE PETCARE app via the SURE PETCARE Hub (sold separately) owners can:

  • Monitor food consumption: See how much, how often and for how long their pet eats, to get a comprehensive view of their pet’s eating patterns.
  • Receive detailed insights: Notice changes in feeding behavior which may be early indicators of illness or behavioral issues.
  • Set and manage accurate food portions: Set the portion size and type of food to be served for up to two types of food (e.g., wet and dry). Once portion sizes have been set up in the app, the product’s integrated scales weigh food as it is added to the bowl.
  • Gain peace of mind: Check when their pet was last fed and how much food is left in their bowl. This provides great peace of mind when owners are away from home.
  • Connect with family and friends: Share access to the app with friends and family, which is ideal for pet sitters and day-to-day care.
  • Use with existing SURE PETCARE “Connect” products: Each Hub can connect up to 10 devices within the same household, enabling pet owners to manage all of their SURE PETCARE “Connect” products from the same app account. The Hub also is compatible with the SUREFLAP Microchip Pet Door Connect and SUREFLAP Microchip Cat Door Connect.

Ken Lambrecht, DVM, medical director, West Towne Veterinary Center and Pets Reducing for Rescues in Madison, WI, said, “Feline weight management is a critical element to ensure a happy, healthy cat. In my veterinary practice and through my current scientific research, we have found improved compliance and detection by using innovative technology in pet home-health feeding and monitoring. The SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Connect is a game-changing feeder, as it allows pet owners to control and measure food consumption, manage accurate portion size and provide detailed analysis of eating behavior. Changes in feeding behavior can be early indicators of illness, pain and behavioral issues.”
