(PRESS RELEASE) When Angela Ardolino founded CBD Dog Health in 2018, she set out with one goal: help as many people and pets find the healing power of CBD. Now, after several months of rapid growth with CBD Dog Health and frequent educational sessions, Ardolino has been invited to speak in NYC as part of the CBD & Holistic Pet Product Panel Session at the 7th Annual Re-tails & Sales Pet Expo on April 30, 2019.

Although the CBD market is expected to hit $22 billion by 2022 (according to the Brightfield Group, cannabis industry analysts), pet retailers are often wary of the growing regulations and changes in federal legalization of hemp. Veterinarians and shops alike are searching for answers regarding the complex legalities of CBD products and Ardolino hopes to demystify these issues.

“CBD is still so new to pet owners and retailers alike,” said Ardolino. “Right now, there are so many misperceptions and misconceptions about this life-saving medicine that I am thankful to be invited to share my knowledge with attendees of the expo.”

The CBD & Holistic Pet Products Panel Session will consist of industry experts, all of which are exhibiting at the expo. The panelist lineup includes Ardolino, Craig Henderson of Extract Labs, and David Louvet of Innovet Pet. The panel will be moderated by Glen Polyn from Pet Age Magazine. Guests can also anticipate hearing from a holistic vet who will be joining the panel.

“There’s no doubt that pet owners today are in search of a more natural and holistic approach when it comes to caring for their pets,” states Nancy Hassel, Founder of American Pet Professionals and Co-Founder of the NYC Re-Tails and Sales Pet Expo. “Utilizing alternative remedies such as cannabidiol (CBD) products is on the rise due to the various health benefits they provide to both human and pets alike,” states Dana Humphrey, The Pet Lady and Co-Founder of the NYC Re-Tails and Sales Pet Expo.

Ardolino, who holds a certification in the therapeutic uses of medical cannabis from the University of Vermont College of Medicine’s inaugural class, frequently hosts CBD Sessions to educate retailers, veterinarians, and the public about safely using CBD and essential oils to heal pets. Ardolino also hosted Canna Conference in Tampa, FL in 2016 to educate doctors, nurses, medical professionals, veterinary staff, and the public about the endocannabinoid system and the many uses of CBD for people and pets.

“I have used CBD to not only heal my own rheumatoid arthritis and anxiety, but to heal animals on my rescue farm and in my grooming and boarding business,” said Ardolino. “I have seen first-hand the healing power of CBD, and I am so thrilled to be able to share my expertise, real-world applications and CBD Dog Health products with the attendees of the expo.”

CBD Dog Health’s current product line includes CBD oil tinctures for dogs, cats, and horses; salves; and CBD-infused treats. CBD Dog Health offers products which range in potency from 50-7500 mg of full spectrum hemp CBD oil. CBD Dog Health products are made with all-natural ingredients including full-spectrum hemp CBD oil, hemp seed oil, and a proprietary blend of essential oils. CBD Dog Health products do not contain synthetic fillers, pesticides, or herbicides.

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
