Camp Pet Boss: Part Vacay, Part Biz-Building

Pet Boss Nation, a coaching and consulting agency for small pet business owners, has announced its first annual Camp Pet Boss conference April 30-May 3, 2019, in Lake Delton, WI. Camp Pet Boss will give pet professionals the opportunity to learn about marketing, sales and leadership, all while spending important bonding time with their pets, mother nature and other industry professionals. “Through guest speakers, breakout sessions, group work and individualized planning, campers will walk away from Camp Pet Boss with a roadmap that will help their business be even more successful,” says Candace D’Agnolo, founder of Pet Boss Nation and PETS+ columnist. Camp Pet Boss will also facilitate bonding opportunities with dogs and other campers through activities like agility, yoga, hiking, canoeing, crafts, wine and beer tastings, paint your pet nights and more.

SuperZoo 2019 Moves to August

SuperZoo, the largest gathering of the pet industry in North America, announced a date change for the 2019 SuperZoo. After listening to feedback from pet professionals and reviewing post-show research, SuperZoo will now host the community of over 20,000 pet professionals and 1,200 exhibitors Aug. 20-22 at Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay, with retailer education set for Aug. 19. With this date shift, SuperZoo is aligned with holiday product launches and seasonal buying cycles, giving retailers the opportunity to be the first to see, touch and buy emerging product trends. SuperZoo registration is expected to open by January 2019.

Car Service for Pets Debuts in NYC

Pet parents across New York City now have an on-demand car service dedicated to pets. App and ride-hailing car service SpotOn debuted in Manhattan in August. The service caters to pet parents who are regularly turned down by taxis or other car services. SpotOn plans to expand to major U.S. cities and beyond.

Healthy Pet Summit Set for Oct. 13

Lukas & Berube Healthy Pet Markets in Montclair, NJ,  hosts its first Healthy Pet Summit in New Jersey on Oct. 13. Geared toward pet pros and the public, a panel of veterinarians, nutirtionists and industry experts will discuss ways pet parents can help their companions live healthier and thrive.
