(PRESS RELEASE) GRESHAM, OR – Gold Paw Series, a leader in fashionable and ecofriendly pet wear, has expanded their product horizons to include walking gear. The new Walking Collection includes stylish collars, harnesses and leads offered with two different clasp options.

The vibrant coordinating products go beyond style; where applicable, pet parents can choose from standard side release buckles or SwiftLatch magnetic buckles. The latter requires minimum hand strength, making it incredibly easy for those with arthritic hands – or even children – to gear up their pup. It also provides an easy fast-to-click solution for squirrely dogs. Plus, pet parents concerned with security can rest easy, since the SwiftLatch buckle was designed with safety in mind. The more tension placed on the ends, the greater the force required to open it, creating a self-securing clasp.

“We’re very excited to introduce our new Walking Collection,” says Rebecca Gadd, CEO of Gold Paw Series. “It was important to us to create a line that is not only stylish, but also extremely functional and we’re proud to offer options suitable for every dog and handler.”

The collection features a Martingale Collar that comes in 1-inch and 1 ½-inch widths, a Traditional Flat Collar, an Adjustable Length Lead, and a Step-In Hybrid Harness with multiple lead connection points. The Harness is fitted with a strong magnetic latch that closes for you; simply move the sides near each other and they will latch automatically. To unhook the harness, just give the pull-tab a tug.

The striped Walking Collection is available in three colorful designs – Canyon, Riverbed and Sunset. These eye-catching combinations are comprised of popular Gold Paw Series fleece colors. The suggested retail price for the collection will range from  $22.95 – $39.95. To learn more, please call 503-387-6920, or visit www.GoldPawSeries.com.

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
