(PRESS RELEASE) BIDDEFORD, ME — ’cause Digital Marketing has partnered with the National Animal Care & Control Association (NACA) and PetHub on groundbreaking research to help “Bridge the Gap” for lost pet recovery between shelters and the communities they serve.

Two surveys, one for animal welfare organizations, and another for pet parents, are being used to gather information. They are analyzing tools, resources and services offered to communities through animal welfare organizations, as well as the practices used by pet parents, animal control officers, and animal welfare agencies for lost pet recovery.

The Animal Welfare Organization survey has closed, but the Pet Parent survey is still open. Pet parents who complete the survey will be able to enter to win a $50 gift card. They are invited and encouraged to take their survey here.

About PetHub

PetHub, Inc. was started in 2010 to combat the issue of low RTO (“return to owner”) rates for lost animals. Its mission is to help keep every family’s pets happy, safe and HOME for the rest of their lives. Combining software with a physical ID tag allows anyone to help a lost animal get home quickly, often avoiding a trip to a vet or a shelter. 96% of PetHub recovered “pack members” are home again in under 24-hours, and before ever entering a shelter. PetHub’s award-winning platform has multiple software and hardware patents pending on its ID tags and Internet services. The company’s tags are now in over 800 communities in the United States as their pet license or rabies tag, and 850,000 pets are now members of PetHub.com.

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
