(Press Release) BALTIMORE, MD – Caitec announced that its HERO consumer ad campaign is breaking consumer engagement records. Launched Sept. 1, the campaign includes over 100 creative executions, including video, banner and social advertising. PETS Hero Kid 250x250

The media plan includes thousands of websites that are visited by dog owners and is delivering over 1 million impressions per month. The plan is optimized to focus on key accounts and other points of distribution by zip
codes to maximize awareness levels and trade support. The company has tagged key accounts like Pet Supplies Plus to support retail pull-through.

“The HERO campaign has exceeded our expectations,” said Terry Gao, president of Caitec. “It’s helped us build even stronger relationships with our trade partners while increasing awareness and trial among consumers.”

The Somebody’s HERO campaign’s core insight is the recognition that whether your dog is a couch potato or a service dog, he/she is your HERO. The creative is emotionally supercharged and features a boy playing superhero dress up with his dog and an army dad greeted by his child and dog upon returning home from active duty.

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
