(PRESS RELEASE) Coastal Pet Products will be transitioning its flea and tick collar holders to a new name in 2019.

HideAway collars will now be known as SecureAway.

“We feel SecureAway more accurately speaks to the product’s intended use,” a press release reads. “Valuable flea and tick collars are securely kept in place on dogs, reducing risk of damage or loss while in use.”

The product itself will not change. All textiles, hardware and manufacturing remains the same.

This change will also not impact current order numbers, kit numbers or pricing. Only the name and packaging will change, now featuring bi-lingual instructions in English and French.

Look for the transition to begin after Feb. 14. Updated merchandising assets will also be available at this time. New kits ordered after March 2019 will include updated assets.

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
