A U.S. Army veteran, Stephanie Steelman works full-time as a research scientist while using her MBA at the store she owns with daughter Katie. Wings, Wags & Whiskers specializes in supplies for birds, rabbits and dogs, and has a closed aviary where they hand-raise birds like Quentin, the sun conure shown here. In addition to the sanity savers listed, Stephanie credits boyfriend Ken with reminding her to sleep, eat and stop “spazzing” over the little stuff.
