(PRESS RELEASE) Pet wellness company Honest Paws will be donating 30% of proceeds from a portion of online sales to Rescue City in Brooklyn, NY. Honest Paws offers pet wellness products like CBD, which promote calmness and joint comfort in dogs and cats.

“While we were skeptical of CBD products for dogs before, Honest Paws CBD line had quickly gained the stamp of approval from our founders, adopters and fosters. It’s been a significant factor in improving the quality of life for many of our rescue dogs from helping calm anxiety to joint support. We are excited to stand behind Honest Paws and have them support us back!” stated Rescue City NYC.

“Rescue City has been able to save twice as many lives in the first 8 months of 2020 as they did in the entire year of 2019. In mid June, Rescue City took on a Kentucky hoarding case where they helped rescue over 80 dogs who were found living outside in their own feces. Most of these dogs had spent 5+ years living outside, confined on top of one another in filthy cages. Their living conditions were deplorable; they endured the coldest of cold and the blistering heat, for years.⁣ Rescue City was able to get 10 dogs into incredible foster homes in NYC. They never interacted with humans before, and it took lots of patience and treats to help them adjust to their new lives – and CBD treats and full spectrum oil were a huge help.”

“Honest Paws wanted to ramp up our charitable projects to really focus on animals that have been neglected and need a home. This is part of a larger campaign where we will continue to focus on similar operations throughout the country,” said  Min Lee, co-founder of Honest Paws.

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
