(PRESS RELEASE) RONKONKOMA, NY – Inc. recently revealed that Hounds Town USA ranked within the top 1,000 on the 2023 Inc. 5000, its annual list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. The prestigious ranking provides a data-driven look at the most successful companies within the economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent, entrepreneurial businesses. Facebook, Chobani, Under Armour, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other household name brands gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.

“We’re honored to be included on this year’s Inc. 5000 list as it is a first for Hounds Town,” said Rob Flanagan, president and cultural co-founder at Hounds Town USA. “This recognition is a testament to the incredible dedication of those behind the brand and the genuine enjoyment we have for what we do at Hounds Town. As we continue to grow, ranking within the top 1,000 motivates us to reach even greater heights and continue providing quality services for dogs across the nation.”

The Inc. 5000 class of 2023 represents companies that have driven rapid revenue growth while navigating inflationary pressure, the rising costs of capital, and seemingly intractable hiring challenges. Among this year’s top 500 companies, the average median three-year revenue growth rate ticked up to an astonishing 2,238 percent. In all, this year’s Inc. 5000 companies have added 1,187,266 jobs to the economy over the past three years.

“When we first began franchising the Hounds Town business model nearly 10 years ago, my intention was always to grow smart and in a way that served the best interest of our franchisees and the dogs we care for,” says Jackie Bondanza, CEO and co-founder. “After nearly a decade of incredibly hard work, I am honored to be recognized for our intentional growth strategy and am indebted to the Hounds Town team and our franchisees for their unwavering commitment to achieving our 10-year target that every dog in the country has access to a Hounds Town.”

In 2023, the boarding concept is continuing its focus on brand growth and has expanded its reach nationwide with new deals signed in several key markets. Already this year, the brand has opened 10 new locations, with another 17 planned to open before year-end, and signed 21 new franchise agreements. This surge in business reflects the growing demand for Hounds Town’s unparalleled services and positions the brand as a leader in its sector.

“Running a business has only gotten harder since the end of the pandemic,” says Inc. editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk. “To make the Inc. 5000—with the fast growth that requires—is truly an accomplishment. Inc. is thrilled to honor the companies that are building our future.”

Following years of impressive growth, the brand has established a prominent U.S. presence across the country. Hounds Town was named a top franchise for 2023 by Franchise Business Review. Hounds Town ranked #24 out of 50 in the “Small” (under 80 units) category, in addition to placing as a top franchise in the Pet Services Category. In addition, Hounds Town was identified by Franchise Business Review as being one of only 50 franchises to qualify as a 2022 Top Franchise for Women. The brand also landed on Entrepreneur Magazine’s coveted Franchise 500 list in early 2023.

About Hounds Town USA

Founded in 2000 by former NYPD canine handler and commanding officer of the Nassau County Police Department, Michael S. Gould, Hounds Town USA offers a unique and fun approach to doggy daycare and pet boarding. The brand emphasizes a safe and welcoming environment for all dogs, no matter their size, breed, age, or disability. The fully interactive daycare facility is designed to meet each dog’s physical, social, and psychological needs through a natural pack environment. The all-day play daycare model leaves each canine companion tired and happy, resulting in what has been coined “Hounds Town hangover.” Hounds Town also offers stress-free, affordable spa services, ensuring pet parents have the option to bring home a clean and refreshed pet. Select locations are also proud to offer a Pet Taxi service, ensuring dogs have reliable transportation to and from daycare. Currently, the brand has nearly 50 locations open across the country, with about 15 more openings projected in 2023. For more information on Hounds Town USA, visit: www.houndstownusa.com.
