How to Get the Most Out of PETS+ in 2025. Including Sample Boxes!

We are super excited about 2025, which the PETS+ team kicked off with our Jan-Feb issue now in stores — your stores, that is — and on desks at brand HQs. Thank you to each and every one of our 22,000+ print subscribers! It’s going to be a jam-packed year, so we put together this handy-handy “how-to” post to help you make the most of all PETS+ has to offer in 2025.

Confirm your free subscription to PETS+ print magazine — You don’t want to miss a single issue this year. Next up we have Mar-Apr, which will look at 2025 product trends and include promotion and display tips from retailers already seeing healthy sales in those categories. It also will feature hundreds of products to put on your shopping list for Global Pet Expo in March, including a special Cat Products advertising section. The issue will arrive before you leave for Orlando, FL, so be sure to pack it along with your other tradeshow essentials. Not to worry if you forget, though, as we’ll have plenty of copies at the PETS+ booth, #1615.

Sign up for the PETS+ ebulletin — If you’re reading this post via the bulletin, you already know what a valuable resource it is for industry news, tips and other content from PETS+. Why not have your entire team sign up? Equip them with these tools! 

Follow PETS+ on our socials — We share content throughout the day on Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram, and would love to reach you there. We also have a private PETS+ group on Facebook of nearly 3,000 pet retailers and service providers. It’s a robust community of pet business owners and managers who are generous with their insight and advice — and we keep out the usual social media drama.

Join the PETS+ Brain Squad — Speaking of community, our survey panel of 1,800+ pet retailers and service providers fuels PETS+ magazine and petsplusmag.com. Take part in the wildly popular PETS+ Sample Box program — Since launching in 2021, the PETS+ Sample Box program has shipped 36 boxes, each one to 200 pet retailers across the country. That works out to 607 products sent to a combined 7,200 pet retailers! The box program has been a huge success for both retailers and participating brands. We will ship 12 boxes in 2025.
