Vacation Reading

I absolutely love your magazine! In fact, I took it all the way to Barbados to read on vacation. Social media marketing ideas are great. I get so much from your magazine! —  Trish Elliott, Town & Country Pet Resort, Valley Springs, CA

Name Recognition

The last issue was as great as always. I get awesome new product information as well as insight from experts in their fields. I would love to read about how to “get your name out” for businesses that are starting up or are having a hard time letting people know you exist. —  Samantha Youngblood, Youngblood’s Natural Animal Care Center and Massage, Greenfield, IN

Mom and Pop

Honestly, PETS+ is one of the better trade magazines that I’ve seen. It actually is useful in that the information is geared toward the every day “mom and pop” real-life situations. —  Matt Spivey-Bevington, 2Guyz Boutique for Pets, Elwood, IN

Pets of the Month

I liked the most recent issue, I felt like it was a lot more interesting and had some new articles that definitely grabbed my attention! Have you ever thought about doing a few “Pets of the Month” so readers could send in a picture and quick bio about their pet along with their Pet’s favorite toys and treats to share with other readers? How about NEW and upcoming product launches? PETS+ should be the first to tell us! —  Cassandra Powers, The Pet Firm, Phoenix, AZ

Support Through Pages

I’m enjoying your magazine so much more than some other trade mags. There is one in particular where every article is really an advertisement for someone else’s business. You guys are fresh, and fun. The spin is positive, and in an industry where I feel the glare of the competition as a newbie owner, I feel support through the pages. I have more profit centers within my facility to develop! Some things are really tanking. I would love to hear more about dog training, bakeries and retail development. You guys are spot on! —  Angela Pantalone, Wag Central, Stratford, CT

Bookmarks

I love your magazine. The information is more useful than any others I get. I bookmark info in every issue. Good job! —  Jan Guin, All Pet Supplies, Springfield, MO

Paws, Thumbs Up

It’s PAWtastic! Four paws up! I love how you focus more on the small boutique businesses, and not the big box retailers. —  Keith Miller, Bubbly Paws, Minneapolis, MN

Two thumbs up! —  Kris Clawson, Bridger Animal Nutrition, Bozeman, MT

FEATURED VIDEO

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
