Meet the ‘World’s Cutest Rescue Dog’ for 2020

People magazine has announced the winner of its ‘World’s Cutest Rescue Dog’ contest for 2020.

Lamb Chop, a Maltese weighing 12 pounds, was the victor from among more than 10,000 entrants. The contest was run in conjunction with Pedigree Petfoods.

Christin Schubert of Milwaukee adopted Lamb Chop in late 2014. The dog has a unique appearance, with her tongue frequently hanging out because she has no teeth. They were removed shortly after her rescue because of their poor condition. She had several surgeries as well, including removal of several tumors.

“I always tell people that I think she is super brave and resilient, given what she has gone through,″ Schubert said. “She has an amazing joy for life.”
