EXOTIC PET BIRDS INC., WEBSTER, NY

Mona the African grey parrot (at right) inspired the Salafias to open a pet store in 2017. “We had a difficult time finding her and decided we would work hard to create a company that would be an outlet for many to find their perfect companion,” Sal says. The couple hand-feeds and raises a variety of bird species, including macaw parrots (left and center), until they are ready for a forever home.
