Press Releases P.L.A.Y. Donates Sales to Guide Dogs of America for Giving Tuesday It continues its mission to make things better for pets, people and the planet. Published 2 months ago on December 1, 2020 By PETS+ Staff Share Tweet (PRESS RELEASE) SAN FRANCISCO, CA — P.L.A.Y. (Pet Lifestyle and You) takes a step back from the holiday sales season this year and support an organization that is transforming lives through partnerships with service dogs. Each year the brand celebrates Giving Tuesday and does what it does best — give back. Last year P.L.A.Y. worked with six other industry leaders and One Tree Planted to raise funds that planted over 3,000 trees. For this year’s campaign, it has partnered with Guide Dogs of America to donate 25% of all website sales on petplay.com to their efforts during the week of Giving Tuesday. Guide Dogs of America pairs hardworking dogs with people who are blind/visually impaired, veterans, individuals with autism and facilities become trusted companions, bringing confidence, independence and mobility. All programs and services at Guide Dogs of America — including transportation, room/board and a lifetime of support — are provided at no cost. Like most successful organizations, Guide Dogs of America depends on the talents, goals, and generosity of many dedicated people, and that’s why P.L.A.Y. is donating 25% of all sales during the week of Giving Tuesday to their efforts. They encourage their fans to join us in helping support GDA’s life-changing efforts, and to shop small, shop local, and give back all holiday season long. Ten years ago, P.L.A.Y. was founded with a mission to make things better for pets, people and the planet, and every day since then it’s been working hard to find ways to do so. From filling its beds and toys with recycled plastic bottles and saving over 10 million from the landfills, to donating a portion of proceeds to wildlife around the world and providing shelter pets with a warm place to sleep, giving back is truly its favorite thing to do.
