Pet Connections Expo Partners with Pet Sitters International

The latter will deliver a Campfire Session on the show floor.

(PRESS RELEASE) International Conference Development has announced that it will be working closely with Pet Sitters International, the largest educational association for professional pet sitters and dog walkers in the world.

“We look forward to opening our doors to pet sitters, dog walkers, and other pet professionals that are certainly great influencers for pet products, and an important group that works with and refers pet parents to independent retailers. This is a perfect fit for Pet Connections Expo,” said Show Director Bill Doherty.

Pet Sitters International will deliver a Campfire Session on the show floor, opening a conversation on how pet stores can form a win-win relationship with professional pet sitters and dog walkers. Customers often look at their local retailers as a resource for more than just pet products or pet food — and will trust the recommendation on pet-care providers, including pet sitters and dog walkers. This campfire session will explain how to network with local professional pet sitters, what qualifications retailers should look for before recommending a pet sitter to customers and how collaborating with local professional pet sitters can benefit your retail business.

“Professional pet sitters become trusted advisors to their clients, often providing recommendations on pet food and products, as well as on local retailers and pet-centric businesses. Because of this, it is vital that pet-care professionals and retailers build relationships. I am thrilled that Pet Connections Expo brings vendors, retailers, and pet professionals together. Pet Sitters International is proud to support this collaboration which benefits the businesses involved, as well as the pets in their care,” said Beth Stultz-Hairston, VP, Pet Sitters International.
