(PRESS RELEASE) Pet Food Experts hosted its annual customer appreciation event and buying show, PFEXPO East, at the Mohegan Sun Casino and Resort on Sept. 6 and 7. More than 600 attendees came representing 14 states from the PFX Northeast and Mid-Atlantic territories.
PFEXPO is an annual event where retailers can learn about the newest products in the Pet Food Experts portfolio, get great deals on their favorite products, and connect with the vendor community and the Pet Food Experts team.
The show kicked off with a Lunch & Learn event where attendees enjoyed five educational seminars given by industry experts from eTailpet, Pet Boss Nation, NextPaw, the Pet Sustainability Coalition, and Super Snouts Hemp Company.
As the show floor opened, more than 400 people attended a DCM presentation given by Nate Thomas of BSM Partners, Renee Streeter, DVM, DACVN, and Brad Quest, DVM. The three industry experts with backgrounds in pet food formulation addressed the cause and effects of Dilated Cardiomyopathy in dogs.
Retailers were able to take advantage of more than 300 deals from the 112 vendors showcasing at PFEXPO. Attendees got to participate in a show floor scavenger hunt for the chance to win a raffle prize. The fun continued during the evening event at Game On! where 490 attendees enjoyed vendor-sponsored bowling and arcade games.
