(Press Release) DAVENPORT, FL – The Pet Head grooming brand is now available exclusively through The Company of Animals.

Founded in 2007, Pet Head was created by Kyara Mascolo, the original creator of Bed Head hair care products. Today the brand has evolved to be a complete line of bathing and grooming products for both dogs and cats. In April 2016, product and distribution rights for the line were acquired by The Company of Animals, a global provider of innovative pet training and behavior products.

All Pet Head formulas are human grade, earth friendly, pH adjusted, and made in the U.S. They are safe if licked or swallowed and are free of parabens, petroleum derivatives, sulphate and DEA. The brand’s portfolio includes a full range of feline and canine products with edgy names such as Life’s an Itch Soothing Shampoo, Dirty Talk Deodorizing Shampoo, High Maintenance Leave-In Conditioner and Fizzy Kitty Mousse Cleaner.

“The big news for 2017,” said Larry Cobb, CEO of The Company of Animals US Division, “is that we are seriously committed to serving and supporting independents who carry Pet Head products. Our sales team is more tightly focused on enhancing our retailer partners’ chances for success than ever.”

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
