Pet Product Industry Begins Taking Collaborative Action Toward Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

(PRESS RELEASE) BOUDER, CO – Pet industry professionals have begun taking action as part of the 30-day Challenge from the Pet Sustainability Coalition to reach 1,000 actions toward a diverse, equitable, and inclusive industry. Using the WeSpire platform individuals are teaming up with employees at their company to complete actions and earn points. Leading the charge in the number of actions already taken is M-Fiber, Birdstone Technologies, West Paw, and Stella & Chewys.

Participants in the Challenge include companies of all sizes and types as well as the North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) that will invite more than 120,000 vet professionals to join in. “NAVC is committed to supporting diversity, equality and inclusion and we are proud to join the Pet Sustainability Coalition’s 1000 Action Challenge, alongside other leaders in the pet care community. Diversity is foundational to the veterinary community. We are taking steps within the NAVC to embrace real change and actively reaching out across our platforms to encourage all veterinary professionals to take action!” sayas Gene O’Neill, CEO of NAVC.
