Pet Treat Company Gets Investment, Changes Its Name

It’s hoping to reach ‘the next level.’

Florida-based pet treat company Healthy Treats Inc. is changing its name.

From now on the firm will be known as Dogs Love Us, according to a press release published at PetFoodIndustry.com.

The change coincides with an investment in the company by private equity firm VisioCap. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“I am excited about our new partnership with VisioCap,” said Paula Savarese, co-founder of Healthy Treats. “Their experience in the pet sector will really advance our company. Their investment takes this company to the next level.”

David Cunningham, co-founding partner of VisioCap, said, “We are excited to have the opportunity to work with this talented team. Dawn and Paula have built a brand that is resonating with today’s health conscious consumer and we are eager to support their ongoing efforts to build an excellent pet treat company.”

Dogs Love Us’s brands include Dogs Love Kale, Dogs Love Snapeas and Dogs Love Hummus Chews. The all-natural products are distributed to pet retail stores across the U.S.
