(PRESS RELEASE) PHILADELPHIA – This month, Pet Valu is hosting its eighth annual fundraiser for America’s VetDogs, an organization that helps match service dogs with disabled veterans and first responders. By donating all proceeds from sales of the $3 bottles of hand sanitizer, the pet supply retailer raised more than $180,000 last year alone for the organization.

Tina Shane, Pet Valu’s chief store operations officer, said, “The funds raised by the Pet Valu community significantly impact the lives of veterans and their future service dogs. We’re honored to help America’s VetDogs with their mission to train and raise service dogs for those in need and we thank our customers for helping us do so.”

The service dog programs of America’s VetDogs were created to provide enhanced mobility and renewed independence to United States veterans, active-duty service members and first responders with disabilities, allowing them to once again live with pride and self-reliance. Pet Valu’s annual fundraiser helps to gather funds to breed, raise, train, and place assistance dogs at no charge to the individuals in need.
