Phelps Pet Products, a leading U.S. specialty dog & cat treat manufacturer, announced the internal promotions of several key members of their Management Team.
Tedd Ellis, a Phelps employee for 10 years and a long-time pet industry veteran, was elevated to the role of Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the organization. “Tedd is well-recognized as a ‘customer-first’ executive, and his ability to build strong working relationships with our customers has been key to our growth and to the ongoing success of our customers,” declared Rick Ruffolo, CEO & President of Phelps Pet Products.
Chris Evans was promoted to the role of Vice President of Quality, Regulatory, & Innovation after four years of leading these activities at Phelps. “Chris brought a deep background in human food manufacturing and innovation with him to Phelps four years ago,” Ruffolo stated, “and his ability to creatively bring the best human food trends and techniques to our products and production practices help our customers differentiate their products in the marketplace. Chris also continues to elevate our quality and regulatory performance including recent scores of 95 & 96 in unannounced SQF audits across our manufacturing facilities.”
Laura Aten also was recognized for her many contributions over the last 7 years at Phelps with expanded responsibilities and staffing. “Laura’s role as head of Production Planning does not begin to describe the many ‘hats’ she wears and the impact she has throughout the Phelps organization,” commented Ruffolo. “Laura and her team work closely with all of our vendor partners to provide the highest quality, cost-effective, and timely products to our customers.”
