(PRESS RELEASE) Phillips Pet Food & Supplies recently added Raised Right’s recipes to its Plant City, Florida, and Anaheim, California, distribution centers. Raised Right is a family-owned, human-grade pet food company that makes “home cooked style” whole-food recipes that are lightly cooked, then frozen and served fresh.
Raised Right works with renowned veterinarian Karen Becker and pet food formulation expert Steve Brown to develop limited-ingredient recipes that are specific to each dog and cat’s stage of life. The recipes include human-grade meats, organic herbs, non-GMO oils and superfoods like cranberries. Raised Right’s foods have no preservatives or fillers, such as potato, rice, corn, wheat or soy. Each recipe uses a single source of animal protein.
Raised Right’s foods are lightly cooked in a USDA-inspected, human-grade facility and the food is then frozen. Before serving, the food is defrosted overnight in a refrigerator. The food stays fresh for six days in the refrigerator once defrosted.
Each batch of food is safety tested for e-coli, listeria and salmonella through a third-party lab. The lab results are posted on Raised Right’s website for everyone to see, along with a map tracing all ingredients to their source.
Raised Right’s food may be served as a pet’s complete meal or as a topper mixed with a current diet. When used as a topper, the recipes boost palatability, enhance protein and increase moisture.

Raised Right supports independent pet retailers through a distribution model called The Right Way Retail Alliance. The model allows retailers to offer customers home delivery through Raised Right’s website. Raised Right’s recipes are delivered directly to the consumer, and the retailer receives a percentage of the purchase.
