(PRESS RELEASE) MECHANICSBURG, PA — Prima Manufacturing, Inc. announces that there has been a change in company ownership due to the passing of former owner, Gary Falkenberg.

Prima will be continuing to grow upon Gary’s vison, and ownership will remain in the Falkenberg family. The new owners, which include Gary’s nephew, are dedicated to provide the same superior product and support that Prima is known for. They are Derin (the late Gary Falkenberg’s nephew) and Andra Williams, David and Hanna Heddy, and Tyson and Malori Butler. The new team is eager to honor and continue Gary’s legacy.

Gary Falkenburg started his career in the agricultural business working on his great uncle’s farm in the summers between school, which is where he gained his love for animals and farming. After high school, Gary began working at his father’s business, Falkenberg Inc., a manufacturer of agricultural pumps and sprayers. Gary would eventually take over ownership after his father’s passing, and start a new venture manufacturing Prima Bathing Systems for groomers. This is where Gary’s passion truly thrived. He enjoyed the inventive work of constantly improving Prima Bathing Systems, and loved to receive feedback from groomers on how much his system improved their productivity and quality of bathing. Gary was a joy to know, and he will be truly missed. His vision, hard work and passion for his product have made a difference for many people and pets.

With the change in ownership comes a new name and change of address. Prima Manufacturing, Inc. is now known as Prima Industries, LLC and is located at: Prima Industries, LLC, 1000 Commerce Parkway, Suite C, Newberg, OR 97132, PO Box 847, Newberg, OR 97132,, /, 503-981-3200 / 1-866-889-0877

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
