(PRESS RELEASE) KING, NC — Pet Sitters International (PSI), the world’s leading educational association for professional pet sitters, has opened registration for its 2021 online summit and announced plans for its annual in-person conference.

For the third year in a row, PSI will offer an online conference in March during Professional Pet Sitters Week, in addition to its annual conference in the fall. FOCUS 2021, PSI’s one-day online summit for pet sitters and dog walkers, is set for March 10. This event will “focus on the fundamentals,” taking a deep dive into topics every professional pet-sitting and dog-walking business must understand, regardless their stage of business.

“After the tumultuous past year, we are excited to offer FOCUS 2021 in March and give pet sitters an opportunity to refocus and ensure they have key elements of their business in place to prepare for the influx of pet-care requests that we anticipate once travel and work schedules can safely resume this year,” said PSI President Beth Stultz-Hairston.

The registration link, schedule, and speaker lineup are available on the PSI website at www.petsit.com/online-conference. The conference is open to both PSI members and non-members.

To allow as many pet-care professionals as possible to take advantage of the information shared during this online event, PSI is offering free and all-access pass options. Early Bird Registration for the online summit ends Jan. 31.

PSI’s 2021 in-person event—Pet Sitter World Educational Conference—is scheduled for Oct. 8-10 in St. Louis, Missouri, at Drury Plaza Hotel St. Louis at the Arch. Pet Sitter World is the largest in-person conference for professional pet sitters. More details about the in-person conference will be announced in February, when registration opens.

“2020 brought new challenges to the pet-sitting industry and the world at large, so it’s more important than ever before for professional pet sitters and dog walkers to focus on continuing education,” Stultz-Hairston explained. “PSI is offering two conference options again to enable more pet-care professionals to have access to the training they need to elevate their skills, knowledge and business practices.”

Additional details about the conference schedules, speakers and sponsorship opportunities are available online at www.petsit.com/conference.
