R2P Pet Acquires Dog-Gear Company

PLEASANTON, CA – R2P Pet, a manufacturer pet toys, beds and accessories, has acquired Ultra Paws, which designs and develops dog gear.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Since 1972, Ultra Paws has been providing pet parents with high quality products for their active lifestyles,” said Lisa Paxton, President of Ultra Paws. “Joining with R2P Pet will give Ultra Paws ample resources to grow our product lines, innovate in new categories, and work with different market channels domestically and abroad.”

Ultra Paws’ products include boots, apparel and accessories.

“This new partnership reinforces our desire to bring added value to our existing and future customers,” said Nick Yerton, CEO of R2P Pet. “We look forward to combining the best of our innovation, resources, and focus to bring a differentiated line of affordable and functional, outdoor products, especially to the pet specialty channel.”

Ultra Paws, which sells its products in retail and e-commerce stores throughout the world, continues to be headquartered in northern Minnesota.

R2P Pet products are distributed in over 30 countries worldwide with corporate offices in the U.S., Canada and Hong Kong.
