(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK – Inc. Magazine revealed that pet supplement line RestoraPet is No. 218 on its annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. This ranking makes RestoraPet the #1 fastest growing pet company in the U.S., #9 fastest growing business in the state of Maryland, #13 fastest growing business in the DC Metro Area, and the #17 fastest growing Consumer Products and Services business.

The Inc. 5000 list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment—its privately held businesses. Intuit, Zappos, Under Armour, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.

“We’re thrilled to be recognized by Inc. and included among this incredible roster of innovative entrepreneurs. In a year defined for many by the pandemic, the fact that RestoraPet not only survived, but thrived, is a testament to the power our products have to change lives and inspire loyalty in our customers. This company began as a passion project in a tiny one room office, and it’s humbling to see what it’s now become,” says RestoraPet Co-Founder, President and CEO Brian Larsen.

After the death of his beloved childhood dog, a Siberian Husky named Bandit, Larsen spent nearly a decade researching antioxidants and natural remedies, eventually finalizing the formulation for RestoraPet’s first product, RestoraPet AM Formula, in 2013. The product, an all-natural, organic, plant-based formulation, was introduced to the market in early 2014 with effects that include increased energy and flexibility, reduced joint discomfort, improved immune function, and vital organ protection.

Seven years, a three-year sales growth of 2,012%, and more than 100,000 customers later, the company has since launched five additional products with more than a dozen in development for introduction over the next year.

“The 2021 Inc. 5000 list feels like one of the most important rosters of companies ever compiled,” says Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. “Building one of the fastest-growing companies in America in any year is a remarkable achievement. Building one in the crisis we’ve lived through is just plain amazing. This kind of accomplishment comes with hard work, smart pivots, great leadership, and the help of a whole lot of people.”

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
