Stella & Chewy’s Launches Hemp Oil Supplement for Dogs

Company answers pet parents request with two types of supplement chews.

(PRESS RELEASE) Stella & Chewy’s, a leader in the premium pet food industry, has launched two hemp oil supplement chews for dogs: Calming, which includes chamomile and lavender, and Hip & Joint with glucosamine and chondroitin for relief and support.

“We have two new solutions for animals that will offer a calming effect and will help with anxious behavior, inevitably leading them to a better life,” said Marc Hill, chief executive officer, Stella & Chewy’s. “While our new hemp oil product is 100 percent THC-free, we do encourage all pet parents to speak with their veterinarian before giving their animals supplements.”

Stella & Chewy’s partnered with a leading hemp supplier to create the all-natural supplement chews which sources the highest quality broad spectrum hemp oil to deliver the full “entourage” effect. The supplements are 100 percent THC-free and contain 3 mg of CBD per chew, enabling the full benefits of entourage effect without the risk of psychoactive THC.

“Our company was founded on the basis of creating the best-in-class pet nutrition to help dogs and cats thrive on the highest quality of food. We listened to what our customers were talking about and asking for and put that same passion into developing the hemp oil supplements. The feedback we’ve gotten from the industry has truly been amazing and we’re excited to introduce this product nationally.”

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
