(PRESS RELEASE) ORLANDO, FL – Pet brand guru J.Nichole Smith is unveiling www.stockpetphotography.com at Global Pet Expo.

Stockpetphotography.com is a new stock photography website that boasts a database of more than 10,000 authentic, royalty-free pet-related images contributed by professional pet photographers from around the world.

“I’m so excited to have www.stockpetphotography.com as an option for myself and my pet-business clients,” says Jane Harrell, president of ‘cause Digital Marketing. Harrell has been leading marketing strategy for national and international pet businesses for 11 years and in the pet space for more than 16 years.

“Pet businesses and pet parents understand pet body language, but so much of the imagery out there doesn’t convey that knowledge,” she says. Harrell recalls one billion-dollar company CEO who railed against the lack of availability of happy-cat photos. “To have a site where I know I can get that so much faster than anywhere else – from leading pet photographers … priceless.”

When asked about their experiences, other pet businesses and agencies express similar excitement, along with frustration with current offerings. Identifying affordable, royalty-free and appropriate pet images that consumers connect to can take hours, if not days at times.

www.stockpetphotography.com aims to solve complaints from petpreneurs and art buyers that authentic pet images are too expensive and too hard to find. It offers high-quality pet-related images from the world’s best pet photographers from $19.

Smith explains what makes this resource possible.

“I am not exaggerating when I say that our contributors include the world’s best pet photographers,” Smith says. “From Charlotte Reeves and Ruth O’Leary in Australia, to Holly Montgomery in Calgary, Mareike Konrad in Germany, Shannon Sweetman in South Africa, Josie Baughan in the UK, Terran Bayer and The Labs & Co in California, to Sarah Ernhart in Minnesota and Jennifer Waters in Michigan – the list goes on and on! What’s really amazing though, is that these extremely successful professionals are trusting us with their valuable archives. By allowing us to make decades worth of their pet lifestyle images available at extremely affordable prices, they are making it possible for our pet businesses clients to access better images to improve their marketing results, which in turn, will help them grow their brands.”

Professional pet photographers are attracted to the site through the potential of higher sales volumes and a new sustainable stream of passive income into their photography businesses. Typically this is available only through building their own stock sites and doing the marketing and selling themselves.

“I love that when we buy images from stockpetphotography.com to use in our marketing to help our own business grow, we’re also helping professional pet photographers grow their businesses too,” says Smith. “These photographers tirelessly give back so much to pets and the industry, it is such a thrill to see them become the heroes of this tremendously valuable project.”

Smith, www.stockpetphotography.com founder, started her career in Seattle in 2005 when she founded her first creative agency for the pet industry, offering graphic design and pet photography for private and commercial clients. Throughout the years in addition to being hired as a brand and marketing expert by solopreneurs and billion-dollar pet brands alike, Smith has been featured regularly in national and regional publications in the U.S. and UK. In 2007 Smith co-founded Dog is Good, a lifestyle brand for dog lovers.

After moving to the UK in 2012, Smith took a break from photography and design to complete a masters in marketing from one of London’s top 10 business schools. In 2015 she launched workingwithdog.com, “The Official Club for Petpreneurs,” an online membership community for pet entrepreneurs. Last year Smith was the first-ever “International” guest speaker at Global Pet Expo, at which time she released her book, Million Dollar Dog Brand. Stockpetphotography.com, the flagship product of Smith’s new brand Animalhaus Media, represents her most recent effort to help fulfil her life’s mission: to help petpreneurs find freedom and fulfilment by building brands instead of just businesses.

“Building this resource is something I have been dreaming of for over a decade,” Smith says. “Every day I consult with both pet photographers and pet brands of all sizes and it has become clearer and clearer to me that this site is something that both groups are desperate for. As free stock sites launch left and right, the monetary value of images goes down, and photographers struggle to find ways to get compensated fairly for their work. While at the same time, the more quickly and comprehensively competition builds within the pet industry, so too grows the need for petpreneurs to build brands and truly stand out with their marketing efforts. Any expert will tell you that the cornerstone of most marketing campaigns is effective imagery, but authentic, affordable pet images are increasingly more difficult to find on mainstream stock sites. We have created what we believe is an ideal win-win solution, and we cannot wait to share it with the pet business community and the world.”
