(PRESS RELEASE) MONROVIA, CA — SuperZoo’s industry-leading education program is back with a newly announced 2022 schedule. With over 70 sessions featuring more than 28 experts, SuperZoo has the industry’s most robust and results-focused education program for pet professionals. Produced by the World Pet Association (WPA), SuperZoo 2022 will take place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, August 23-25, with education sessions beginning August 22.

“Each year, we pride ourselves in delivering the industry’s leading educational program at SuperZoo, and this year is no different,” said Vic Mason, president of WPA. “With retail and grooming focused sessions led by the industry’s top thought leaders, SuperZoo’s education program will dive into critical topics that will help pet professionals grow their businesses and elevate their skillsets. This year, following input from our attendees, we have a newly streamlined Monday and Tuesday education schedule to allow for more time on the show floor to discover the newest pet products and innovations.”

This year’s education will feature two specialty tracks—retail and grooming—and Free Show Floor Talks.

The Retail Education Track is designed to help retailers stay competitive by offering sessions on topics including improving technology and marketing tools, keeping customers and employees satisfied, uncovering the next consumer trends, updating merchandising strategies and so much more. Attendees will walk away with actionable solutions to everyday challenges.

The Grooming Education Track will cover a wide range of topics, including techniques for groomers of all levels, safety and wellness information and key strategies to help build successful businesses. These sessions will also provide valuable knowledge and skills that will help with preparation for the Professional Grooming Credential (PGC) exam. WPA’s PGC program offers a standardized, independent exam to assess the practices and showcase the wide knowledge base of the professional groomer.

The 30-minute Free Show Floor Talks will take place right on the trade show floor in Booth #5725. Attendees can pop in and learn about consumer trends, technology innovations, social media and influencer marketing, sales tactics and more, then go walk the show floor to find a product or solution to help them bring their new learnings into practice.

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
