The 7th Annual NYC Re-tails & Sales Pet Expo Debuts Natural & CBD Pet Products

The CBD market is expected to hit $22 Billion by 2022, according to the Brightfield Group.

(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK — CBD, a non-psychoactive cannabinoid, has had a surge in popularity over the past couple of years for people and pets which is why the CBD market is expected to hit $22 Billion by 2022, according to the Brightfield Group, cannabis industry analysts. Pet retailers are jumping on board to this massive trend and attending the 7th annual NYC Re-tails & Sales Pet Expo on April 30th of this year. Attendees can learn about hemp regulations and how to carry this exploding new category in their stores.

Pets can benefit from the many benefits of CBD, however, the way in which the product works is complex, and legislation is still catching up with legalities around marketing and packaging.

The NYC Retails and Sales Pet Expo hopes to demystify the process for people seeking out new natural products in the tri state area.

“There’s no doubt that pet owners today are in search of a more natural and holistic approach when it comes to caring for their pets,” states Nancy Hassel, founder of American Pet Professionals and co-founder of the NYC Re-Tails and Sales Pet Expo. “Utilizing alternative remedies such as cannabidiol (CBD) products is on the rise due to the various health benefits they provide to both human and pets alike,” states Dana Humphrey, the pet lady and co-founder of the NYC Re-Tails and Sales Pet Expo.

This one-of-a-kind boutique B2B tradeshow will be held on Tuesday, April 30th, 2019 from 1pm-6pm at Home Studios Inc. near Union Square Park (@ 18th Street). Attendees can meet pet product manufacturers, place orders, see what’s new in the pet industry and enjoy CBD cappuccinos! Hosted once again by Nancy Hassel of American Pet Professionals and Dana Humphrey of Whitegate PR, the upcoming NYC Re-tails & Sales Pet Expo will feature new products for 2019.

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
