A customer walks in who is clearly under the influence of drugs with a puppy in her hands. She comes to the front counter and asks if we knew of anyone interested in taking the puppy. There was a customer at the counter who was travelling through town as a visitor and showed some interest in the puppy. The person handed the puppy to the visitor and proceeded to run out of the store leaving the puppy with the visitor. The visitor still has the puppy! — Kaye Davis, Moab BARKery, Moab, UT

I’m allergic to dogs!” I don’t know where we sent a mixed message that there would be no dogs on premise, but apparently that is what she expected! — Wendy Megyese, Muttigans, Emerald Isle, NC

A LADY CALLED saying that she was in town to celebrate her husband’s major birthday. For his birthday, she wanted to hire a groomer for her husband because he was into “role playing.” Although my staff and I declined the invitation, I did give her a price to rent out my business after hours. I never heard back. — Leel Michelle, Bow Wow Beauty Shoppe, San Diego, CA
