(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK – The Dog Gurus announce the return of the Daycare Games. One hundred fifty off-leash pet businesses will have the opportunity to compete against other teams. The teams will face off against like-sized businesses in their small, medium, and large class sizes.

There are three main events of the Daycare Games – The Dog Recall, Group Sit, and Gate Boundary. The Dog Recall will consist of documentation of the percentage of dogs in the playgroup that come when called. Each dog will be calledindividually using specific come or recall cues. Group Sit will be the challenge of how many dogs in the playgroup will sit at the same time on cue and have their rear touching the ground at the same time for two – four seconds. Gate Boundary will task the teams with the leaders by keeping dogs out of a boundaryspace on cue or with body blocking, Dogs can be in a sit or standing position. Dogs can be in a sit or standing position.

The ultimate goal of the Daycare Games is to inspire and motivate all competitors. Recognizing that different businesses will have employees at different levels of experience, there will be three categories to register under – Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced.

The Novice group will consist of new employees or owners and operators that are still in training to be off-leash dog playgroup attendants. The Intermediate group will be made up of employees or owners and operators that have completed training at a center and have one year or less experience leading dog playgroups.
