Tuffy’s Pet Foods to Break Ground on Treat Facility

(PRESS RELEASE) Tuffy’s Pet Foods has announced it will host a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the start of construction on its new 170,000-square-foot pet treat facility in Delano, MN. Among those scheduled to participate are Delano city leaders along with executives from Tuffy’s Pet Foods, Founding Fathers Pet Treats and building contractor CRB.

Representatives from the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital and Pinky Swear Foundation will also be in attendance. Scheduled to open in November 2020, this new distribution facility is expected to generate 150 new jobs.

Tuffy’s Pet Foods manufactures dry and moist dog and cat food and treats. The company was founded in 1947 and is based in Perham, MN. In 2015, the company expanded with a new $70 million, 130,000-square-foot manufacturing facility.

Tuffy’s is family-owned and operated. The company’s other brands include NutriSource, PureVita and Natural Planet. Tuffy’s Pet Foods operates as a subsidiary of KLN Enterprises.
