(PRESS RELEASE) The premier cat-centric event is back to encourage feline fans around the world to level up their cat savvy skills and knowledge this spring, at April 10 at 1 p.m. EST — streaming live at catcamp.com for free.

What:
Following two successful virtual events in 2020, Jackson Galaxy’s Cat Camp, the acclaimed event for animal enthusiasts of all stripes, is back for a springtime celebration to engage and inspire cat lovers around the world. Reinvented as a virtual event due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cat Camp’s mission is to educate, entertain and empower by providing the right tools to every individual interested in helping animals, regardless of their level of knowledge and experience with cats. Whether cat curious or cat obsessed, this season’s camp counselors will aim to directly motivate attendees by building courage and confidence to take on a bigger role in the cat community.

Thanks to a lifesaving investment by Petco Foundation, a national, nonprofit animal welfare organization working to inspire and lead change for animals across the country, Cat Camp Spring Forward @Home is free to attendees and will feature interactive content, both entertaining and educational, that includes harness and clicker training (including how to teach cats to high-five), caring for kittens, fundraising ideas, how to best serve community cats and so much more, followed by an “After Pawty” full of cat-themed activities, games and prizes.

Who:
Hosted by co-founders Jackson Galaxy, renowned cat behavior and wellness expert and host of Animal Planet’s “My Cat From Hell,” and Christina Ha, co-owner of NYC’s first Cat Café, Meow Parlour, and president of its affiliated non-profit adoption group, Meow Parlour Cats, Cat Camp is a positive celebration of all things feline. The event will feature renowned speakers from the animal advocacy world, including Jackson himself and Hannah Shaw (aka “Kitten Lady”), who will focus on inspiring attendees to “level up” their skills on their journey to helping cats in the home and the community.

Where:
Cat Camp Spring Forward @Home will livestream at CatCamp.com on April 10 at 1 p.m. EST. Visit the website for additional information and to register for the event. Previous virtual events are also available to view on the website.

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
