(Press Release) NEW YORK, NY – Mark your calendar for the CatWise Cat Café Tour presented by Wellness Natural Pet Food. This tour features cat-behavior expert and best-selling author Pam Johnson-Bennett. Beginning in March, Johnson-Bennett is traveling across the country and stopping at some of the greatest pet loving cat cafés to share her new book, CatWise.
Sponsored by Wellness Natural Pet Food, this event is an opportunity for cat lovers to unite, adopt a cat from a local shelter and meet Johnson-Bennett.
Cat cafés have been an international phenomenon for over a decade, and over the past few years they have grown in popularity in the U.S.
The tour is kicking-off in Orlando on March 23 with a press conference at Global Pet Expo, followed by a visit at the Orlando Cat Café from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The tour will continue with stops in New York, Philadelphia, Portland, and Seattle.

Each cat café has partnered with a local shelter, and adoptable cats will be available in every city. This will help to showcase these animal shelters and hopefully place some special felines in their forever homes. In its role as presenting sponsor, Wellness Natural Pet Food will be donating 1000 meals to each local shelter to help provide cats with natural nutrition while they wait to be adopted.
Wellness Natural Pet Food will also providing raffles and fun freebies for attendees at each tour stop.
Johnson-Bennett is the best-selling author of 10 books, including Think Like a Cat (Penguin Books). In addition, she hosted the Nat Geo Wild/Animal Planet show Psycho Kitty, which aired in the UK and Canada. With a career that spans over 30 years, she is considered a pioneer in the field of cat behavior consulting and her books have been used as texts for professional behavior and shelter training.
Johnson-Bennett is a former vice president of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and is the founder and former chair of the IAABC Cat Division. She was on the American Humane Association’s Advisory Board on Animal Behavior and Training and the AHA’s forum on cat health and welfare. She was the cat behavior columnist for Cats magazine, Yahoo, Catster, Cat Channel, iVillage and others.
