(PRESS RELEASE) BOZEMAN, MT — West Paw, a Certified B Corporation known best for designing pet products for the love of both pets and the planet, announced today a refreshed line of Creamy Dog Treats. These mess-free, squeezable pouches pack in simple, clean ingredients in three flavors dogs will love:

  • Mixed Nut Butter, Blueberry and Chia Seed
  • Mixed Nut Butter, Sweet Potato, Chia Seed and Cinnamon
  • Peanut Butter and Banana

West Paw’s Creamy Dog Treats are a healthy, safe and responsibly made gourmet upgrade perfect to serve alone, as a topper with kibble, a quick snack on the trail and, for sneaking into puzzle toys like best-selling, TOPPL, QWIZL, or TUX. Each ingredient was carefully curated to offer multiple benefits to every dog from the Omega 3’s in the mixed nuts providing help in combating inflammation, to the great source of antioxidants in the blueberries and chia.

“These dog treats are made the ‘West Paw way’ with nothing artificial, just simple, clean ingredients that are sustainably sourced,” said Spencer Williams, West Paw CEO.

“Dogs will love our three new flavors, and pet parents will appreciate how well it pairs with our long lasting puzzle toys for enriching, active playtime.”

In addition to a love of pets, at the heart of West Paw’s mission is the planet. The new Creamy Dog Treats are made sustainably with USA and globally sourced ingredients that are fully traceable and verified by the Non-GMO Project. When consumers see the butterfly Non-GMO logo on a package they can be assured that the food they are selecting is safe and GMO free. Additionally, West Paw is proud to partner and source its palm oil with Palm Done Right; a Fair Trade, Fully Traceable, 100% Organic, Wildlife Friendly company who sources palm oil the right way. Palm Done Right works to use a more sustainable sourcing of palm oil where animal habitats and rainforests are preserved, where farmers are empowered, where communities thrive and the environment is nurtured.

“We take tremendous pride in manufacturing the highest quality, environmentally conscious and safe products, and our treats continue to expand upon this fundamental principal,” added Williams.

West Paw’s Creamy Dog Treats are also gluten free, grain free, xylitol-free and vegan. They include no sugar, no preservatives, no artificial sweeteners, (or artificial anything), just trustworthy, simple nutrition for happy treating. While the new Creamy Dog Treats are great for on-the-go or everyday snacking, they can also be added to enrichment toys.

“Like humans, dogs need mental stimulation for healthy and happy brains,” said Williams. “Our customers love our variety of treat dispensing puzzle toys, and the new Creamy Dog Treats will be a fun addition to our customers’ playtime.”

West Paw Creamy Treats are available in 6.2 oz squeezable pouches and retail for $9.95 each. Every purchase is backed by West Paw’s “Love It Guarantee”.

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
